2017 Chrysler Town & Country spied ahead of Detroit debut - Spied

Will be revealed in Detroit next month.

The upcoming 2017 Chrysler Town & Country (2017 Chrysler minivan) has been spied testing by Allpar reader Chris Chrouch, likely undergoing final testing. The minivan will move to its sixth generation with 2017 model year. While these spy shots don't reveal the front-end, previous ones have revealed that the next-gen model's front-end will be inspired by the Chrysler 200 sedan.

As reported last week, the 2017 Chrysler Town & Country has been officially confirmed to be unveiled at the 2016 North American International Motor Show in Detroit. The parent company has also confirmed that the minivan's marketing launch will happen in April 2016 and that it will have a hybrid variant.

It has been reported that the current 3.6-liter V6 engine will be replaced by a 3.2-liter V6 engine. Sending power to the wheels, would be a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The 2017 Chrysler Town & Country is currently being tested on public roads and is believed to have reached the end of its pre-launch development. The 2017 model year will mark the entry of the popular American people mover into its sixth generation. Spyshots have indicated that the all-new model will continue with a pure MPV body style and sliding doors, and won’t adopt the new trend in Europe where MPVs have started getting a crossoverish shape.
