2017 Citroen C3 Picasso flaunts its roofline & headlamp in new spyshots

Expected to arrive in early 2017.

The 2017 Citroen C3 Picasso didn't show-up at the 2016 Paris Motor Show against expectations as the company is apparently still not done with the development of its B-Segment vehicle which is part of the PSA Peugeot Citroën and GM partnership. New spy shots published by Autocar UK show the all-new C3 Picasso shedding some camouflage, as it continues clocking test miles.

The 2017 Citroen C3 Picasso will adopt a modern, crossover design with quirky LED headlights.

Citroen is bidding adieu to the traditional MPV look with the next-gen model taking on the design lines of a crossover. A previous spy shot which revealed the front-end partially suggested a two-tier headlamp setup, a larger upper grille and a new radiator grille cut into three parts.

Moving to the sides, the glasshouse is much sleeker, and the fenders seem to have a squarish shape. Also, the doors could feature 'Airbump' panels for protection against minor scrapes and bumps. The tail is now slanted toward the front, giving the vehicle a sporty appeal. The tail lamps no longer climb to the roof, and in fact don't seem to be stacked vertically.

The next-gen model can be expected with petrol and diesel engines as small as 1.0-litre and as large as 1.6-litre in displacement, with the power output varying from 68 bhp to 118 bhp. The new generation model should be officially introduced in early 2017, perhaps debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
