Fiat's mini-MPV is getting a mid-cycle update.

The Fiat 500L was introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show and is due for a look change. The facelifted Fiat 500L hadn't made an appearance until last week when motor.es published spy shots of the model's test prototypes.

The 2017 Fiat 500L appears to feature redesigned radiator grille and air dam grille.

The 2017 Fiat 500L's test mules are heavily camouflaged and barely reveal anything. On closer examination, the radiator grille seems bigger and gets dual opening, while the central air intake appears to have a redesigned grille.

The interior changes cannot be seen in the spy shots, but they'll probably revolve around new trim and upholstery choices, along with possible updates in the electronics, including a latest Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility.

The 2017 Fiat 500L will soldier on with the current range of two- and four-cylinder petrol, diesel, petrol-Methane (CNG) and petrol-LPG engine options. There may be a few changes related to the efficiency and/or output, and further details are awaited ahead of its expected debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

The 2017 Fiat 500L could debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017.

The Fiat 500L has been photographed testing in India, but was then revealed that it was a component manufacturer doing trails.
