Release expected in early 2017.

The current Fiat Panda is in its third generation and was introduced in late 2011. Fiat is now readying a mid-life facelift for the top seller to launch in 2017, as seen in these first spy shots that surfaced in January.

Based on the spyshots and more recent Fiat facelifts, an unofficial rendering from Laco Design previews the model.

The 2017 Fiat Panda will carry refreshed lights and bumpers, while the sheet metal is not expected to change.

The render features new split grille design and door mirrors with integrated turn signals. If the latter is seen on the actual model, the turn signals on the fenders would be removed. Given its price point, LED headlights and LED tail lights aren't expected to be offered. These features may find their way to the facelifted Fiat Panda 4x4 and the facelifted Fiat Panda Cross, as neither come for a bargain price of the standard Panda.

The interior changes may include new upholstery, steering wheel, instrument cluster and dashboard trim. The facelift may finally bring the Uconnect infotainment system to the Panda, likely with a 5-inch display. These changes will also be seen in the Fiat Panda 4x4 and the Fiat Panda Cross.

The facelift will likely introduce the Uconnect infotainment system with the 5-inch display to the Fiat Panda.
