2017 Ford EcoSport spotted finishing its testing ahead of next month's premiere
Will debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show that opens on November 8.
Ford is gearing up for the 2017 Ford EcoSport's debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show which opens for the media on November 8. Just weeks before its debut, the Fiesta-based crossover has been spied testing in Brazil, courtesy CARPLACE reader Lícius de Vasconcelos.
The 2017 Ford EcoSport's exterior will have cues borrowed from the Ford Kuga that was given a facelift earlier this year. The interior will be considerably updated and incorporate new steering wheel, instrument cluster, center console and the SYNC 2 infotainment system with a colour display.
Along with the exterior and interior changes, there will be a major change under the hood. South American countries will get a new 1.5-litre 'Dragon' naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine on the 2017 Ford EcoSport which will gradually replace the company's 1.6-litre Sigma unit. Availability of this new engine in India still has a question mark.

The 2017 Ford EcoSport will be sold in the U.S. market, where it will reportedly premiere at the 2016 LA Auto Show that will also be held next month. The Euro-spec Ford EcoSport is confirmed to be built in Romania from H2 2017, while the U.S.-spec version, it was reported, will be exported from India.
