2017 Ford Fusion (facelift) debut confirmed at the Detroit Auto Show - IAB Report
Gets updated styling and new interior features.
Ford has teased the facelifted 2017 Ford Fusion (Ford Mondeo) and revealed that it will debut at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS 2016) that starts on January 11. The car seen in the teaser image is the 2017 Ford Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid.
Although the model is covered up, a leaked image has revealed that it will feature an edgier grille, slimmer LED headlights and a re-profiled front bumper. The side profile remains identical, while the rear end could feature updated taillamps and rear bumper.

The interior has been caught earlier with the same dashboard layout, although it appears that the gear stick will be replaced with a rotary dial unit. New seat fabric and interior trims are expected, with the infotainment system getting upgraded to the latest Ford SYNC 3 edition.

Engines will be the same as before, with just minor tweaks. The 1.5-liter EcoBoost petrol producing 181 bhp, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol making 231 bhp, and the 2.5-liter petrol generating 175 bhp and 237 Nm of torque, will continue being offered. The hybrid variant has a 2.0-liter, inline-four having output of 141 bhp and 175 Nm of pulling power are paired to a CVT gearbox.
