2017 Honda CB Shine BSIV reaches dealership
The Honda CB Shine 125 is one of the largest selling 125 cc motorcycles in the country.
The 2017 Honda CB Shine gains BSIV compliance and is now available at dealerships. The new Honda Shine gains minor visual as well as mechanical changes.
The Honda CB Shine is suspended over standard telescopic forks up front and dual shocks in the rear with five step adjustable preload. The bike gets tubeless tyres and brakes include drums all around. A disc brake variant with a 240 mm unit in the front is available. The Honda Shine also offers Honda’s patented Combined Braking System (CBS) technology.
Changes in the 2017 Honda CB Shine include a chrome exhaust muffler cover and a chrome carburettor cover. The visor over the headlamp gains a new black finish. The Honda Shine, just like the rest of the range, also gets Auto Headlamp On (AHO).

Powering the Honda Shine is the tried and tested 124.73 cc air-cooled, single cylinder mill coupled to a 4-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 10.16 bhp of maximum power at 7,500 rpm and 10.30 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 123 kg and has a 10.5-litre fuel tank. The Honda Shine also boasts of a maximum speed of 93 km/h.
The 2017 Honda CB Shine BSIV drum brake and front disc variant cost INR 56,034 and INR 58,360 respectively (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The CBS variant of the Honda Shine is available only with a front disc and costs INR 61,283 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
