Improved 2017 Honda CBR650F bookings commence in India

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have announced that the bookings for the 2017 Honda CBR650F have commenced. The price is unchanged, at INR 7.3 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.

The 2017 iteration of the bike comes with better spec brakes, suspension, and LED headlight.

The 2017 Honda CBR650F comes with a host of changes for better riding experience. For starters, the bike gets new LED headlight, new air ducts in the fairing, reworked engine, and revised suspension and brakes. According to a Mumbai dealer, the booking amount stands at INR 25,000, and the tentative waiting period is two months.

The 2017 Honda CBR650F features specially designed air ducts in the fairing for better aerodynamics. The 648.72cc in-line four DOHC engine features new intake and exhaust flow management. This set up helps in offering better breathability and reduction in back pressure. The engine pairs with a new 6-speed short ratio gearbox, which improves the mid-range performance. The powerplant makes 86.6 PS of power at 11,000 rpm and 60.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm. The engine nestles inside a steel diamond frame. Honda launched the previous generation bike in August 2015.

The bike costs INR 7.3 lakhs, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is a CKD.

The front end comes with a new 41 mm Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBV) type fork. It incorporates a free-valve structure that progressively increases the amount of damping according to the road conditions. The rear monoshock features 7-stage spring preload adjustment and links with the aluminium swingarm. The bike also comes with revised two-piston Nissin front callipers that squeeze twin 320mm petal discs at the front. A single-piston rear 240mm disc is at the rear, and dual-channel ABS is standard. The motorcycle gets a 17.3-litre fuel tank and tips the scales at 216 kg, kerb.

The 2017 Honda CBR650F is available at Honda Wing World Dealers across 22 cities in India. Two colour choices are available- Millennium Red & Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. In the segment, the prime competitor of the bike is the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
