2017 Honda CBR650F & Honda CB650F launched in Japan

The Honda CBR650F and CB650F were updated at EICMA 2016.

The 2017 Honda CBR650F and 2017 Honda CB650F have been launched in Japan. Honda aims to sell 300 units of the faired motorcycle and 200 units of the naked per annum.

The Honda CBR650F (featured here) and Honda CB650F is powered by a 648 cc mill with both an increased power and torque output.

Powering the bikes is a 648 cc water-cooled, in-line four cylinder mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 90 PS of maximum power at 11,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. Both numbers have increased as compared to the last year’s model.

The suspension system by Showa is new while the chassis has been strengthened. Most of the usable power will be available right from 5,000 rpm. The brakes include dual 320 mm wave disc in the front and 240 mm unit in the rear. ABS is standard in both the 2017 Honda CBR650F and Honda CB650F. The bikes also gain new LED headlamp.

Colour options for the 2017 Honda CBR 650F include Victory Red, Matte Gun Powder Black Metallic, Pearl Glare White while the naked Honda CB650F will be available only in Victory Red, Sword Silver Metallic.

Both the Honda CBR650F and Honda CB650F get a new LED headlamp.

The 2017 Honda CB650F starts at JPY 923,400 while the 2017 Honda CBR650F ranges between JPY 999,000 to JPY 1,031,400 (all prices, ex-showroom).
