Honda has launched the 2017 Honda Jazz (facelift) range in Thailand, for which prices start from 555,000 baht (INR 10.43 Lakhs). Below are up close images of the range-topping Honda Jazz RS variant, giving a better look at the changes made. The Jazz RS variant is priced between 739,000 - 754,000 baht.

The Honda Jazz RS features sportier bumpers with sharp inlets with faux carbon fibre detailing, faux carbon fibre lip spoiler, RS badge on the grille, full LED headlamps with bolder LED DRLs, body-painted side skirts, black ORVM caps, 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, large rear wing, and a faux diffuser. The model snapped has the exclusive Phoenix Orange exterior colour.

The interior is largely identical to the regular Honda Jazz, save for the six speaker audio system, steering-mounted paddle shifters and fabric seat upholstery with orange stitching. A new 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system has replaced the 7-inch unit.

Under the hood is the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 86 kW (117 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 146 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm. In the Jazz RS, it is paired with an Earthdreams CVT (continuously variable transmission) that sends power to the front wheels.

As for a launch in the Indian market, reports suggest that Honda will not introduce the renewed premium hatchback this year. This is likely to not affect the WR-V's (Jazz-based crossover) sales, and also the fact that the Jazz is yet to complete two years in Indian showrooms.
