2017 Hyundai Grand i10 (facelift) spied inside out at a dealership
Reported to launch this month.
GaadiWaadi has acquired spy shots of both the exterior and interior of the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 (facelift) at a dealer stockyard. It is reported to launch this month, although Hyundai India is yet to acknowledge the date.
The exterior borrows cues from the Euro-spec i10, which underwent a similar facelift late last year. It features a ‘Cascading’ hexagonal grille, boomerang fog lamp enclosures with chrome accents, new wheel cover and alloy wheel designs, and a redesigned bumper with round reflectors on either side.
The model is likely to be the mid-spec Grand i10 Sportz, as it features a 5-inch touchscreen audio system, while the Asta is reported to come equipped with a larger 7-inch system that offers navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 Asta will get the Hyundai Xcent’s automatic climate control exclusively. No other aesthetic changes are noticeable from the photos.
Unusual of a mid-cycle facelift, the Hyundai Grand i10 2017 will feature a new engine. The Grand i10 diesel will drop the 1.1L 3-cyl U2 CRDi engine for a 1.2L unit, which is expected to produce more power & torque, and offer better fuel economy. The petrol variant will retain the 1.2L VTVT 4-cyl engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.
