2017 Hyundai Grand i10 (facelift) spied on the road

Reported to debut this month.

The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 (facelift) was spied testing on the road undisguised by a Top Gear India reader, ahead of its launch expected to take place this month. This the first major facelift for the Grand i10, since it was introduced in India in 2013.

This the first major facelift for the Grand i10, since it was introduced in India in 2013.

The new Grand i10 features completely redesigned front and rear fascias, which borrows styling cues from the Euro-spec 2017 Hyundai i10. It features a ‘Cascading’ hexagonal grille, boomerang fog lamp surrounds with chrome strips, while the rear has a redesigned bumper with round reflectors.

While the dual-tone beige and black interior is largely identical to the outgoing model, older spyshots have revealed that the Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz(O) variant will feature a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the Asta gets a new 7-inch system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Asta grade will also get the Hyundai Xcent’s automatic climate control exclusively.

The rear-end has a redesigned bumper with round reflectors.

As for the engine lineup, the Grand i10 diesel will drop the 1.1L 3-cyl U2 CRDi engine for a new 1.2L unit, which, according to Top Gear India, produces 74bhp and 171Nm of torque. The petrol variant retains the 1.2L VTVT 4-cyl engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.
