2017 Maruti Dzire now has a 15-week waiting period
Top-end Z+ and V grades are in high demand.
Speaking to local dealerships, IAB gathers that the 2017 Maruti Dzire has a maximum 15-week waiting period for the top-end Z+ grades - especially ZDI+ diesel and ZXI+ AGS - as well as VDI and VXI grades.
There also seems to be good demand for the petrol automatic variant and it is not surprising given that Maruti recorded 44,000 bookings shortly after market launch on May 16. Prices of the compact sedan range between INR 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and INR 9.41 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) making it the most expensive Dzire of the three generations.
There are two engine options available for the new Maruti Swift based sedan: 1.2-litre VVT petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS 180 diesel. The four-cylinder petrol engine makes 61 kW (81.77 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm, while the diesel motor produces 55 kW (73.73 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The certified mileage stand at 22.0 km/L (petrol) and 28.4 km/l (diesel).

The Dzire is one of the most feature-rich products in the segment. It comes with LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights, LED taillights, 15-inch two-tone alloy wheels, leather-wrapped steering wheel, engine push start-stop button, automatic climate control, rear AC vent, Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation and voice command, ABS and dual front airbags as standard across the range, reverse parking sensors, rear camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
