These images of the next generation 2017 Maruti-Suzuki Swift were snapped in Crottet, France, and further bolster earlier reports of the hatchback's world premiere at the Paris Motor Show this year.
Though the camouflage is hiding the production body, leaked images have already shown the evolutionary styling changes that will be seen on the 2017 Swift. Image have also revealed the performance Swift Sport, which doing justice to the name, looks beefed up with aggressive air-intakes and flared wheel arches.
Thus far, Suzuki has not revealed any details about the forthcoming Swift. Sources told IndianAutosBlog that the new Swift will ride on the same platform used by the Maruti Baleno, which happens to be an all-new lightweight architecture with an aluminium-mix. This platform has plenty of upsides over the current Swift's platform: It has increased crash protection levels, it is expected to reduce overall weight by 50-70 kg and fuel efficiency will see an improvement owing to the weight loss.
Leaked images reveal an all-new interior design on the 2017 Swift which combines a sporty instrument cluster, an all-new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a touchscreen SmartPlay entertainment system and automatic climate control with integrated digital display.
