2017 Mercedes GLA (facelift) to debut at 2017 NAIAS

Will reportedly go on sale in April 2017.

Mercedes-Benz has announced over social media that the 2017 Mercedes GLA will debut at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in on 9 January, 2017. Along with the announcement, the company has also released a teaser image of the new model.

The facelifted Mercedes GLA is said to feature new MULTIBEAM LED headlamps.

The teaser image reveals that the 2017 Mercedes GLA gets new headlamps, updated grille design, restyled bumper with fog lamps and a new version of the brand's Three-Pointed Star logo on the front. The new headlamps should be new MULTIBEAM LED units. At the rear, the facelifted GLA is likely to have a restyled bumper and new LED tail lights.

The Mercedes GLA should get some aesthetic changes on the inside, such as updated trim and upholstery options, a new COMAND infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility. A 360-degree surround-view camera is also said to be offered.

The 2017 Mercedes GLA should continue being offered with the current range of 2.0L four-cylinder petrol and 2.0L diesel engines, but with minor power efficiency revisions. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual clutch automatic, with power being sent to the front wheels or all four wheels via a 4MATIC system, depending on the spec. Sales of the facelifted model will reportedly commence on April 2017.
