2017 Mitsubishi Triton launched in Thailand

Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co has launched an updated version of the Mitsubishi Triton in Thailand, in a bid to maintain the company's pick up market share of 8 percent. The 2017 Mitsubishi Triton is available in single cab, mega cab and double cab body-styles, and the price ranges between THB 489,000 - THB 1,061,000.

The new Triton is available in single cab, mega cab and double cab body-styles, and prices range between THB 489,000 - THB 1,061,000.

Changes on both the exterior and interior are minimal. The 2017 Triton comes with revised projector headlamps with new LED DRLs and dark chrome-plated grille. Inside, it borrows the four-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters from the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, and comes equipped with power adjustable driver's seat, push button start/stop, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and reverse parking camera and leather upholstery.

Other changes to note in the double cab variant are the addition of a headrest for the middle passenger on the rear seat and ISOFIX mounting points.

Inside, the 2017 Triton borrows the four-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters from the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.

No changes have been made to the engine lineup, which includes two diesel units and one petrol unit. The diesel lineup comprises has the 2.4-liter turbo-diesel that makes 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque and a 2.5-liter diesel producing 178 PS and 400 Nm, while the petrol-powered models pack a 2.4-liter engine developing 128 PS and 194 Nm of torque. The top-end Double Cab GLS LTD 4WD Auto comes equipped with Super Select 4WD II sourced from the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.
