Will have two different versions, one for Europe and one for AMEI.

As seen in recent spy shots, Nissan is currently working on an all-new B-segment hatchback in Europe - the fifth generation Nissan Micra. Expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, the fifth generation Nissan Micra will see a drastic makeover.

The 2017 Nissan Micra will be the first Nissan to be based on the CMF-B platform.

Unlike the current (fourth) generation model, the fifth generation model will be angular, aggressive and relatively bigger in size. Nissan made this very clear with the introduction of the Nissan Sway concept at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Now, a speculative rendering from OmniAuto.it previews how the next-gen Micra will look with its Sway concept-inspired design in production guise.

The next-gen 2017 Nissan Micra will be the first Nissan to be based on the CMF-B version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance's CMF (Common Module Family) platform and should be offered with a good mix of petrol and diesel engines with displacements between 0.9- to 1.6-litre. A few of these engines, including a 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol unit, could be borrowed from the Renault Clio.

The next-gen Nissan Micra for Europe will be built in Flins, France.

The Euro-spec next-gen Nissan Micra will be built in at Renault’ Flins plant near Paris in France. While exports to Europe will be stopped from India, the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Oragadam will export the new Micra to Africa and Middle East. These regions will get a lower specification, not the Euro-spec one.
