Gixxer SF-inspired 2017 Suzuki GSX150R shows its taillight design

Expected to launch in Indonesia this financial year.

Iwanbanaran has posted yet another image of the 2017 Suzuki GSX150R testing in Indonesia, ahead of a market launch expected this financial year. As reported earlier, the 2017 GSX150R appears inspired by the Suzuki Gixxer SF in many areas of design.

LED headlight, disc brakes at the front and rear and a fully-digital cluster are among the reported features of the 2017 GSX150R.

Another area where the 2017 Suzuki GSX150R will closely match the Gixxer is in the powertrain. Suzuki is expected to use the Gixxer's 154.9 cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which makes 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm on the Gixxer.

Given that Suzuki Motorcycles India is considering exporting the Gixxer to Japan, a developed market with higher product expectations, this powerplant should suffice the Indonesian market which is considered a developing market.

The 2017 Suzuki GSX150R could use the 154.9 cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit that powers the Gixxer series of motorcycles in India.

As for equipment, the 2017 Suzuki GSX150R is expected with a fully-digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, disc brakes at both ends and dual exhaust pipes. In the Indonesian market, the Suzuki GSX150R will be positioned between the Suzuki Satria F150 and the Suzuki Inazuma R.
