The 2017 Suzuki Swift has made it European premiere at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show today, following its world debut in Japan last December. The latest Swift is expected to launch in India later this year.

The new Swift measures 3,840 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,500 mm/1,525 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm. Compared to the outgoing model, it is 10 mm shorter in overall length, 10 mm shorter in height and has a 20 mm longer wheelbase, while width is identical. The design an evolutionary step forward from its predecessor, featuring LED auto headlamps, LED DRLs, large hexagonal grille, halogen fog lamps, 16-inch alloy rims with diamond cut finish, and LED taillamps.

Inside, the new Swift has a completely new design which focuses on offering a premium yet sporty cabin experience. It’s now simpler with far fewer buttons and dials, and features a 7 inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay, round dials with displays for the climate control system, new twin pod instrument cluster with color MID, and a sportier flat bottom steering wheel.

For the European market, the new Suzuki Swift will offer two engine options: the K12C 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid system and a CVT, which develops 91 PS (3 PS less powerful) and 118 Nm of torque. The top-end models get the Baleno's K10C 1.0-litre three-cylinder Boosterjet (turbocharged) petrol engine paired with a 6-speed automatic that produces 102 PS and 150 Nm.
