The next-gen Swift Sport's interior was leaked earlier this year.

The exterior of the 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport was leaked earlier this year, featuring a more aggressive design comprising elements like an upright front end with a gaping hexagonal grille, larger intakes, smaller headlamps with LED DRLs, and large alloy wheels. The rear-end features a roof spoiler, dual exhaust pipes, and a floating roof impression.

The next gen Suzuki Swift Sport will ditch the older 1.6 N/A four cylinder engine for an all new K14C-DITC 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. The engine is sourced from Suzuk Vitara S, where it develops 103 kW (138.07 hp) and 220 Nm of torque. Like the outgoing model it could also be mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and offer the option of Suzuki's ALLGRIP AWD.

The current Suzuki Swift Sport will be discontinued later this year to make way for the next gen model that will arrive next year in key markets. The Swift Sport was never sold in the Indian market, but with Maruti keen on appealing to the young audience, the next-gen Swift Sport could see an introduction in the country.
