2017 Triumph Street Triple range to head to India around July 2017

The Triumph Street Triple’s bug-eyed looks was introduced in 2007.

The new Triumph Street Triple was unveiled in January 2017. A report in Car and Bike reveals that the naked roadster will be introduced in India in June-July 2017.

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple range gets a new 765 cc triple cylinder mill which is capable of producing 123 PS in the flagship RS trim (featured here).

Available in three variants, the new 2017 Triumph Street Triple is spread across three variants, Street Triple S, Street Triple R and Street Triple RS. A low ride version of the motorcycle based on the Triumph Street Triple R is also on offer in the global market. The new motorcycle moves away from the 675 cc Daytona derived and gets a new powertrain.

The engine now displaces 765 cc. The triple cylinder mill is capable of producing a maximum power output of 123 PS in the Triumph Street Triple RS. The R trim has an output of 118 PS while the entry level Street Triple S produces 113 PS. The bike also gains LED headlamps and a new TFT instrumentation console (not available in the S trim).

The 2017 Triumph Street Triple also gains riding modes. Other features include switchable ABS, traction control and ride by wire.

The new 2017 triumph Street Triple range begins at GBP 8,000 for the S trim. The Street Triple R costs GBP 8,900 and GBP 9,900 for the flagship RS variant.
