2017 Yamaha V-Ixion might get a slipper clutch - Report

The Yamaha V-Ixion, in essence, is the naked version of the Yamaha R15 v2.0.

In addition to new information on the upcoming motorcycle, a new rendering of the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion has come up by Indonesian designer Julak Sendie Design.

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion will be standard telescopic forks and a halogen headlamp.

Unlike the new Yamaha R15 v3.0, the Yamaha V-Ixion gets a halogen headlamp. As per Indonesian blogs, the bike may get an assist and slipper clutch just like the new R15. The powertrain though will be the same as the faired motorcycle.

The 155.1 cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled VVA mill in the new R15 is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. The Yamaha V-Ixion too is expected to have the same output, will get disc brakes but ABS will not be on offer.

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion will be powered by the same 155.1 cc mill from the Yamaha R15 v3.0.

The new 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion is also expected to be available in two variants when it goes on sale in Indonesia in the following months.
