2017 Yamaha V-Ixion R rendered in MotoGP colours

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion deliveries in Indonesia will begin later this month.

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion R has been rendered by Indonesian designer Julak Sendie Design in Yamaha factory team’s as well as Tech3 Yamaha's colours. The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion in its new generation avatar is available in a standard and V-Ixion R trim and was unveiled in Indonesia last week.

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion R gets the 155.1 cc VVA mill from the Yamaha R15 v3.0 along with a 6-speed gearbox.

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion gains a LED headlamp, rear disc brake, slipper clutch and a sportier design language. The bike also gets an all-digital instrumentation with ‘Hi Buddy’ welcome message. The 149.8 cc traces its origins to the Yamaha R15 v2.0 coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine produces 16.6 PS of power and 14.5 Nm.

The Yamaha V-Ixion R gets the new 155.1 cc VVA mill from the R15 v3.0 mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine produces 19.31 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. It gets an under-seat USB charging port, wider 130 section rear tyre and a shorter exhaust canister.

Apart from the enhanced power output, the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion R gets a wider rear tyre, USB charging, and a shorter exhaust.

The 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion has been priced at IDR 26,000,000 while the sticker price for the Yamaha V-Ixion R will be revealed at a later date. Deliveries of the former will begin this month.
