The 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 has been spied in the country. Thrustzone reports that Bajaj will launch the bike on the 10th of this month.

The 2018 variant gets a black chain cover as well.

In its 2018 guise, the Discover 125 features subtle changes in the graphics. The powertrain, lower portion of the front front fork, and the 17-inch alloy wheels are now in black. The black undertones give the bike a sportier image.

The current generation Discover 125 employs a 124.6 cc DTS-i mill. It produces 11 PS of power at 8,000 rpm, and 10.8 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. With the help of a 5-speed transmission, the bike can reach a claimed top speed of 100 kmph. Expect the 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 to retain the same powerplant.

Bajaj updated the Discover 125 to BS IV norms in March last year.

For suspension, the motorcycle comes with telescopic front fork, and twin Nitrox shock absorbers at the rear. Brakes include a 200 mm front disc, and a 130 mm rear drum. The 2018 Bajaj Discover 125 competes against Honda Shine SP, Yamaha Saluto, and the 2018 Hero Super Splendor which was unveiled recently. The current generation Discover 125 costs INR 53,171, ex-showroom, Delhi for the drum variant. Expect the 2018 version to command a slight premium over the current bike.
