2018 Ford Everest (2018 Ford Endeavour) with 2.0L Bi-Turbo engine, 10-speed AT leaked
The 2018 Ford Everest (2018 Ford Endeavour) has leaked ahead of its expected mid-year launch. Along with a subtle facelift, the Ford Everest will get new engines, a 10-speed automatic transmission and new features.
The current Ford Everest is available with two diesel engines. One is the 2.2L TDCi four-cylinder unit that produces 118 kW (160 PS) and 385 Nm of torque and the other is the 3.2L TDCi five-cylinder diesel engine that develops 147 kW (200 PS) and 470 Nm of torque. Ford will offer the facelifted Ford Everest with not two but four diesel engines.
The first-ever Ford Ranger Raptor’s new 2.0L TDCi Bi-Turbo diesel engine will have the top position in the 2018 Ford Everest’s engine range. Like in the pickup truck, this twin-turbo diesel engine will deliver 157 kW (213 PS) and 500 Nm of torque in the SUV based on it.
Below the new range-topping option, the 3.2L TDCi diesel engine will continue as is. However, the 2.2L TDCi diesel engine’s maximum power and maximum torque figures will drop below to 110 kW (150 PS) and 375 Nm. Between the 2.2L TDCi and 3.2L TDCi diesel engines, the Blue Oval will offer a new 2.0L TDCi diesel engine good for 132 kW (180 PS) and 420 Nm of torque.
In addition to a 6-speed automatic transmission, the facelifted Ford Everest range will include one more AT option, a new 10-speed unit. The Ford-designed and Ford-built 10-speed automatic transmission is expected to come in the 2.0L TDCi Bi-Turbo diesel engine model. It should offer improved acceleration and responsiveness. Configurations equipped with an automatic transmission will feature an auto-start-stop system for enhanced efficiency in the new Ford Everest.

In terms of equipment, the Ford Everest will gain passive keyless entry and push-button start with the mid-cycle refresh. The pre-facelift model is available with an audio system, the SYNC infotainment system and the SYNC 3 infotainment system. Ford will offer the facelifted model with only an audio system and the SYNC 3 infotainment system depending on the grade. The three-row SUV will have a slightly sharper front-end but remain mostly unchanged in design elsewhere.
The 2018 Ford Everest's international market launch could take place before June. The 2018 Ford Endeavour may arrive in India a few months after.
