Prices start from INR 26,85,775 for the Goldwing, and INR 28,49,975 for the Goldwing Tour, both ex-showroom, Delhi. The two motorcycles are available in Candy Ardent Red colour. Honda has brought down the starting price of the Goldwing range by approximately INR 1.46 lakhs relative to the previous generation model.

The all-new Gold Wing features new technologies including a newly-developed horizontally-opposed 6-cylinder engine, 7-speed DCT, and Honda’s original double wishbone front suspension. The DCT has a special ‘Walking’ mode in addition to reverse, which is convenient for taking the bike out from tight parking spots.

A first for Honda on a global scale is the Gold Wing’s new double wishbone front suspension which reduces friction in comparison to traditional telescopic setup. Rear spring gets 4 settings of preload relative to load which can be checked on the new 7-inch TFT screen. Speaking of the infotainment system, the bike features Apple CarPlay, an electrically adjustable windscreen, and a smart key as standard.

Powering the 2018 Honda Goldwing is a 1,833 cc SOHC flat-6 engine with liquid cooling. The mill generates 126.4 PS of power at 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. The powerplant mates with a 7-speed forward and reverse DCT, which transfers power using a shaft drive. Throttle By Wire (TBW) adds four rider modes to prevent loss of grip in the rear wheel (Tour, Sport, Econ, and Rain). The rider modes manage HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control), suspension damping as well.

Additionally, the bike features brake force Idling Stop and Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) for a quiet start-up. The Gold Wing is equipped with ABS; and Dual-Combined Braking System (D-CBS) as standard to optimally distribute braking force to the front and rear wheels. The motorcycle also comes with Hill Start Assist.
