2018 Hyundai Creta (facelift) to launch in May - Report
Last year it was reported that Hyundai will launch the 2018 Hyundai Creta in India towards the second half of 2018. Now, a new report from MotorOctane says that the launch will take place in May.
Spy media has shown that Hyundai is rigorously testing the 2018 Hyundai Creta in India ahead of the mid-2018 launch. The report says that the company has started training the dealers and will start dispatching the new model by the end of April.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta is expected to feature a larger radiator grille, revised bumpers, new 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels and tweaked tail lamps for a refreshed look. Recent spy shots have suggested that the SUV will gain a sunroof with the mid-cycle refresh. No major interior changes are expected. The infotainment system may get upgraded to offer support for Hyundai’s Auto Link smartphone app.

The 2018 Hyundai Creta is likely to carry over the outgoing model’s engine and transmission combinations. There are three engine options available in the pre-facelift model: 1.6-litre VTVT petrol, 1.4-litre CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre eVGT diesel. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard but a 6-speed automatic transmission option is available in the 1.6-litre engine models.
The 2018 Hyundai Creta could have a starting price of around INR 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
