Hyundai has stuck with the same engine and transmission options as the retiring model. The 123 PS and 15.4 kgm 1.6 L unit remains the sole petrol engine option available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Diesel variants are available with either a 90 PS and 22.4 kgm 1.4 L unit mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 128 PS and 26.5 kgm 1.6 L unit paired with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. While the official fuel efficiency figures have not been declared, Hyundai claims that the new Creta is more fuel efficient by 3% (petrol) and up to 4% (diesel).
