2018 Jeep Grand Commander leaked, features & specifications revealed

After months of seeing the 2018 Jeep Grand Commander in spy shots, here are its first images without any camouflage whatsoever.

The next-gen Jeep Grand Commander has a car-like monocoque construction.

The all-new Jeep Grand Commander, as clearly evident in its design, is the production version of the Jeep Yuntu concept from Auto Shanghai 2017. Typical of a Jeep, the redesigned Grand Commander has a boxy body, a 7-slot grille, trapezoidal wheel arches and model branding on the front door.

Jeep will offer the new generation Jeep Grand Commander in four grades, namely Longitude, Limited, Overland and Summit. LED lighting, chrome honeycomb grille inserts, front & rear fog lamps, alloy wheels in 17-, 18- or 19-inch sizes and at least four designs, dual trapezoidal exhaust tailpipes, rear spoiler with integrated high-mount stop lamp and panoramic sunroof are the features confirmed known so far.

The next-gen Jeep Grand Commander has a car-like monocoque construction. It measures 4,873 mm in length, 1,892 mm in width and 1,738 mm in height. Its wheelbase spans 2,800 mm. Two engine options are known for sure as of now. Both are 2.0-litre petrol units, producing 172 kW (234 PS) and 195 kW (265 PS).

The 2018 Jeep Grand Commander will debut at Auto China 2018 (2018 Beijing Motor Show) in April. Jeep will offer it in 5- and 7-seat versions.
