2018 Mahindra XUV500 (facelift) interior exposed in new spy shots

A couple of weeks after exposing the exterior of the 2018 Mahindra XUV500 facelift, Team-BHP has shared images revealing the interior. This will be the second update the XUV500 has received since its launch in September 2011. It is expected go on sale sometime this month.

The dashboard gets updates in the form of the addition of leather trim, gloss black centre console finish, tan leather seats, and silver finish on the gear knob, handbrake and centre console.

The changes seen in spy shots here are consistent with those shared last week. These include tan leather/leatherette upholstery, leather dashboard trim, and gloss black finish for the centre console. Last week's report also states that there will be an updated touchscreen infotainment system on offer. Other changes include silver trim on the gear knob, center armrest, handbrake lever, and steering wheel.

Exterior updates will include triangular tail lamps, redesigned tailgate with a wider license plate recess, new tailgate garnish, and a new roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp. Up front, there's a new six-slot radiator grille and a horizontal LED DRL strip now sits along with the top edge of the headlamps replacing the S-shape DRL that features on the outgoing model.

Upgrades to the Mahindra XUV500's 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will see the maximum power jumping up to 150 hp. Expect the  6-speed manual and automatic transmission options and AWD system to be carried over.

The updated Mahindra XUV500 is expected to go on sale sometime this month.
