2018 Mahindra XUV500 (facelift) exterior revealed

The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 has started reaching dealerships, images posted by Team-BHP has revealed. The latest images unofficially reveal the new SUV’s exterior ahead of its launch next month.

The 2018 Mahindra XUV500's 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine delivers a maximum power output of 150 hp.

The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 has design changes not just at the front, but also at the rear. The second facelift has brought the Mahindra XUV5000 triangular tail lamps, redesigned tailgate with a wider license plate recess, new tailgate garnish and a new roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp. At the front, the six-slot radiator grille has a new design and so does the lower grille. The dual-beam headlamps have undergone tweaks for a new look and they have the LED signature light at the top now.

The Mahindra XUV500 has received a minor upgrade in its 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine with the facelift. Previous reports said that Mahindra will bump the maximum power from 140 hp to around 170 hp. However, Team-BHP reports that the maximum power will go up only to 150 hp. Improved brakes are also included in the list of changes.

The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 features newly designed triangular tail lamps.

The 2018 Mahindra XUV500’s market launch will reportedly take place sometime next month. Its deliveries will commence by mid-May.
