2018 Maruti Ciaz (facelift) spied testing yet again
Maruti Suzuki is working on a facelift for the Maruti Ciaz that arrived as the Maruti SX4 successor in 2014. An IAB reader who wished to stay anonymous spotted a 2018 Maruti Ciaz testing in Gurgaon recently.
The 2018 Maruti Ciaz will have minor exterior styling enhancements. At the front, the facelifted model will feature a new design for the radiator grille, lower grille and bumper. It could gain projector LED headlamps as well with the MY2018 update. On the sides, nothing more than new alloy wheels in 15- and 16-inch sizes is expected. Neither the latest nor the previous spy shots have shown or suggested any changes at the rear.
The interior of the 2018 Maruti Suzuki may look largely the same as that of the pre-facelift model. Maruti Suzuki could introduce new trim and upholstery and upgrade the Smartplay infotainment system for a smoother operation. The current Ciaz is available with a 1.4-litre petrol engine (92.45 PS/130 Nm) and a 1.3-litre diesel engine (90 PS/200 Nm). The company has successfully tested the indigenously developed 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz could arrive sometime later in the first half of the year. Before that, the 2018 Maruti Swift will go on sale in February.
