The 2018 Maruti Ciaz’s road testing commenced late last year. As Maruti Suzuki continues working on the mid-cycle refresh, spy shots of the facelifted model have surfaced on the web yet again, courtesy carandbike.

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz seems to have a radiator grille different than the one seen before, one with vertical slats.

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz seen in the latest spy shots seems to have a different radiator grille, one with vertical slats. Its front bumper has a sharper design compared to that of the current model. Other exterior changes may include new 16-inch alloy wheels, tweaked tail lamps and updated rear bumper. Inside, Maruti Suzuki may introduce new upholstery and trim in the sedan and update the Smartplay infotainment system for enhanced functioning.

The current Maruti Ciaz is available with a 1.4L VVT petrol engine and a 1.3L DDiS diesel engine. The new Maruti Ciaz is said to arrive with a new 1.5L petrol engine and a Suzuki-developed 1.5L diesel engine. No further details are available, but a possibility is the new petrol engine in question is the K15B unit that produces 104.7 PS and 138 Nm of torque in the 2018 Suzuki Ertiga (2018 Maruti Ertiga). There’s no word on the continuity of the SHVS mild-hybrid system.

The Maruti Ciaz will get 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines with the mid-cycle refresh.
