2018 Mercedes C Class (facelift) interior snapped

Could be unveiled later this year.

MBPassion.de has managed to snap the interior of the new Mercedes C-Class (facelift), which is expected to be unveiled later this year. It arrives nearly three years after the current C-Class was unveiled to the world in 2014.

The steering wheel looks similar to that of the new Mercedes S-Class.

Most of the interior has been covered up, except the steering wheel, which looks similar to that of the new Mercedes S-Class. The model seems to be the base variant, hence why the steering lacks any chrome trim elements, but it does feature the excellent mini touchpads to navigate through the COMAND infotainment system and driver's display. The interior could also get a fully digital instrument cluster and new trim as well as upholstery choices.

From spy shots of the exterior, it appears that the new C-Class will feature restyled bumpers with new air intakes up front, new LED headlights similar to those of the latest Mercedes E-Class, new wheel designs and tweaked LED tail lights.

As for engine options, Mercedes will replace the 2.1-litre diesel engine with the new OM 654 2.0-litre diesel engine from the W213 Mercedes E-Class, while the current range of turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engines should continue. It could also get Merc's new 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic gearbox as standard in most variants.
