2018 Mercedes C-Class (facelift) spotted hiding new bumpers, lights

Could make its world debut in H2 2017.

From Germany, WalkoART has posted a new video featuring a Mercedes C Class test mule with major portions of its exterior covered up, suggesting that a full facelift is in the works. It could make its world debut in H2 2017 as a MY2018 model.

The video doesn't reveal much of the changes, but previous spyshots have hinted at the new parts. The 2018 Mercedes C-Class will borrow cues from its bigger brother, the Mercedes E Class, featuring revised headlamps with Multibeam technology, slightly re-profiled front and rear bumpers, updated taillamp graphics and new alloy rims.

A spyshot of the interior revealed twin-COMAND display inspired by the Mercedes E Class, which could be exclusive to the Avantgarde variant. It could also feature a new sound system, new steering wheel, new leather and trim options and restyled buttons.

The engine lineup is likely to get renewed with the new OM 654 diesel and M 254 petrol engines in the 2018 Mercedes C-Class, paired to 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmissions. The plug-in hybrid variant may also see improvements to its driving range.
