2018 Nissan Leaf to reach China on 17 November - Report

The 2018 Nissan Leaf is now on sale in Japan, and its global roll-out will commence soon. According to a report from autohome.com.cn, the 2018 Nissan Leaf will hit the Chinese market on 17 November 2017.

The 2018 Nissan Leaf has a 40 kWh battery pack as standard.

The 2018 Nissan Leaf is the second generation model of the world’s best-selling EV. The first lifecycle makeover has fully revamped the car for a conventional and a lot more sportier look. The all-new Nissan Leaf’s design is inspired by the Nissan IDS Concept. It is 4,480 mm long, 1,790 mm wide and 1,540 mm tall. It has a 2,700 mm wheelbase. The redesigned model offers a ground clearance of 150 mm.

The 2018 Nissan Leaf has a 40 kWh battery pack as standard. To fully charge, it takes 16 hours to charge using a 3 kW charger or 8 hours using a 6 kW charger. However, the charging time from alert to 80% capacity using a quick charger is only 40 minutes. The lithium-ion battery pack powers the new EM57 electric motor that generates 150 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The all-new Nissan Leaf’s driving range (JC08 test cycle) is 400 km.

Noteworthy features of the 2018 Nissan Leaf include LED headlights with LED DRL, LED fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED rear combination lamps, e-Pedal, ProPILOT Assist for autonomous driving, ProPILOT Park for autonomous parking, 7-inch full-colour driver information display, 7-inch NissanConnect infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and 7-speaker Bose premium audio system.

The 2018 Nissan Leaf has a driving range of 400 km on a single charge.

The first generation Nissan Leaf sells in China as the Venucia e30. The Dongfeng Nissan JV assembles this model at the Huada Plant in Guangzhou, China. The second-gen Nissan Leaf’s production takes place at the Oppama Plant in Japan. It is unknown whether this model will arrive as a locally-built model or an import in the Chinese market.
