The third generation Skoda Superb debuted in early 2015 and is due for a facelift this year. Images posted by SuperbAuto.cz have leaked the design of the front end of the 2018 Skoda Superb. The facelifted Skoda Superb could debut later this year and go on sale in India in 2019.

The new Skoda Superb's radiator grille has rounded lower corners but retains the black vertically positioned slats.

The facelifted Skoda Superb’s radiator grille looks nearly the same as that of the pre-facelift model. The new radiator grille has rounded lower corners but retains the black vertically positioned slats. The lower grille is now compact, although the portion available for air inflow appears to have remained the same. Skoda has apparently chopped the extra portion on the sides that was closed. As a result, the new bumper has much more space for the fog lamp housing.

The Skoda Superb will likely gain full-LED headlights with the facelift. Skoda has moved the headlamp washers inwards. Other visual changes due with the mid-cycle update may include new alloy wheels, new tail lamp graphics and new rear bumper. Skoda may introduce new features as well.

Skoda will offer a plug-in hybrid powertrain in the facelifted Skoda Superb, from 2019.

The current Skoda Superb is available with 1.4L TSI, 1.8L TSI and 2.0L TSI petrol engines and 1.6L TDI and 2.0L TDI engines. Changes planned for these engines are currently unknown. What we do know is that in mid-2019, Skoda will introduce a 215 bhp (217 PS) plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 154 bhp (156 PS) 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine and an 85 kW (115 PS) electric motor. The Skoda Superb Plug-in Hybrid will have a 13 kWh battery to power the electric motor and offer more than 40 miles (64.37 km) of zero-emissions driving range.
