Toyota's mid-size sedan enters its eighth generation.

The 2018 Toyota Camry has made its world debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and is the eighth generation model of the best-selling mid-size sedan. Here are the all-new Camry's live images from the motor show, courtesy Carplace Brazil.

The eighth-gen Toyota Camry is based on the GA-K version of the TNGA platform.

Incorporating the “Keen Look” design language, the North American-spec 2018 Toyota Camry is bigger than the outgoing model. Measuring 191.3 inches in length, 72.4 inches in width and 56.7 inches in height, the Camry is 0.4 inches longer, 0.7 inches wider and 1.2 inches lower than before. The wheelbase has been extended by 1.9 inches from 109.3 inches to 111.2 inches. The global version, along some changes in styling, may vary in the dimensions.

The 2018 Toyota Camry is based on the GA-K version of the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. It will be available with an all-new 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine. The range will include a hybrid model featuring an electrified version of the 2.5-liter engine. The gasoline models have their engines mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid model has a continuously variable transmission.

Inside too, the 2018 Toyota Camry has been completely redesigned. Changes are not limited to the aesthetics, Toyota has paid attention to even improving the comfort and incorporating latest technologies inside the car. The front seats have been completely reengineered and a plethora of new technologies have made to the Camry with the latest redesign. 10-inch colour head-up display, 7-inch MID in the instrument cluster and 8-inch Entune 3.0 infotainment system Connected Navigation Scout GPS Link with Moving Maps (2.5L gasoline, 2.5L hybrid)/Dynamic Navigation system (V6 gasoline) are a few among them.

The North American-spec 2018 Toyota Camry will be available in 2.5-liter gasoline, 3.5-liter gasoline and 2.5-liter hybrid models.

The 2018 Toyota Camry will go on sale in the U.S. market in Summer 2017 (June-September 2017). The global version of the eighth generation model should be introduced later this year and reach India next year.
