The new Audi A4 carries a sportier design inspired by that of the Audi A1, Audi A6 and Audi A7. At the front, the new Singleframe grille is broader and flatter, giving a more imposing stance to the car. The new LED headlights featuring the Matrix LED technology along with multi-element DRLs mimic the look of the Audi A1's headlights. At the back, the techy look of the new tail lamps is reminiscent of the Audi A6 and Audi A7.

Inside, the dashboard design remains the same, and the dual-display setup seen on the bigger Audi sedans has been kept at bay. However, there's a new MMI plus infotainment system based on the third generation third-generation modular infotainment platform MIB 3, with a 10.1-inch MMI touch display that replaces rotary/push-button control on the centre tunnel. The Audi Virtual Cockpit is still a 12.3-inch full HD display. Highlights include car entry with Android phone and Car-to-X capability which updates the car with nearest available parking space, traffic lights and more as well.

The Audi A4 now features a new 12-volt mild hybrid system that lowers the fuel consumption and helps delivering a smoother ride.

Audi will be offer the new A4 with six turbocharged engines in Europe at launch, with power outputs ranging from 110 kW (150 PS) to 255 kW (347 PS). The main news here is that three engine variants will feature a 12-volt mild-hybrid system that reduces the fuel consumption by 0.3 litres per km while making the drive more comfortable.

The new Audi A4 should reach the Indian market by early 2020.
