2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 gets an INR 10,001 price hike
The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has received a steep price hike of INR 10,001 ahead of the festive season. The flagship motorcycle from the Pune-based two-wheeler brand is now priced at INR 1,90,002*.

The 2019 Dominar 400, originally costing INR 1,73,870*, received its first price increase in May 2019 (INR 255) and the second one in July 2019 (INR 5,876). While the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 still remains one of the most value-for-money motorcycle in its displacement segment, the INR 10,001 revision may affect the sales during the festive season.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 delivered promising sales performance although, the numbers tumbled to minus 1% in July. The new model is still available in two colour options – Aurora Green and Vine Black. Red colour could join the list soon.
In terms of mechanical specifications, the 2019 Dominar 400 UG (upgrade) gets a more powerful motor than its predecessor. The 373.3 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected engine pumps out 40 PS (vs. 35 PS on the previous model) of peak power at 8,650 rpm and a maximum torque of 35 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The six-speed gearbox benefits from a slipper clutch.
The updated feature list comprises revised instrument console layout, upside-down front forks (instead of conventional telescopic forks), radially mounted front calliper and twin-barrel exhaust design. Bajaj Auto also says that the taillight and headlight internals have been optimised for better performance. Other key-improvements include updated mirror design with cast aluminium stalks, new tank pad decals, forged steel side stand and bungee straps under the passenger seat.
The 2019 Dominar 400 UG competes with the BMW G 310 R and the CFMoto 300NK that retail at INR 2.99 lakh* and INR 2.29 lakh* respectively.

In more updates, Bajaj Auto has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of the new Pulsar 125 with prices starting at INR 64,000*. The list will be further extended with a new variant of the Pulsar 125 that will be available very soon.
