The Honda CBR150R now has twin-eye full-LED headlights in a shape that is sharper than the unit of its predecessor and a taller windscreen for better the protection against windblast. Also new for MY2019, are fresh graphics and a colour instrument cluster. The bike continues to feature a split-seat, Truss frame, LED blinkers and LED tail light. Four colour options are available in Thailand – Orange with Repsol racing livery, Blue/Black Red/Black and Black.

Engine and hardware specifications remain unchanged for now, although a Euro-V upgrade is expected by next year. Currently, the 149 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, fuel-injected motor that is mated to a six-speed gearbox delivers 17.1 PS at 9,000 rpm and 14.4 Nm at 7,000 rpm. As seen in the video, the motorcycle clocks a top speed of 141 km/h (speedometer indicated).

Anchoring tasks are performed by disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net of ABS is available as an option. The ABS-equipped model gets petal-type discs and features an Emergency Signal Stop (ESS) system. The ESS tech flashes the tail lamp in case of heavy braking. Shock absorption department includes conventional forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear – both adjustable for preload.

The 2019 Honda CBR150R retails at 92,000 Baht (INR 1,99,810.20) in the non-ABS version and at 99,000 Baht (INR 21,50,13.15) in the ABS version in Thailand.

Honda 2Wheelers India has no plans to bring back the CBR150R to the Indian market at the moment. The company will not launch any all-new model before the BS-VI emission norms come into effect (1 April 2020). The positive response to the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 and the arrival of KTM RC125 may motivate it to launch this model later, though.

NOTE: IAB does not promote or support speeding on public roads.
