2019 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (facelift) teased, arriving in India this year [Video]

Mitsubishi had introduced the current, third-gen Pajero Sport back in 2015, and now, it is about to give this ladder-frame SUV a facelift. The company has announced in a teaser video that it will unveil the new Pajero Sport on 25 July, in Thailand, which is the model's manufacturing home.

On the outside, the expect the new Pajero Sport to flaunt a tougher interpretation of the brand's Dynamic Shield face. Apparently, the design of the grille, as well as the headlamps, has been changed. The headlamps have become sleeker and include an angular DRL strip. The updated grille comprises three horizontal slats with the Mitsubishi logo positioned neatly in the centre. The front fog lamps have been repositioned and now sits below the headlamp units at what used to be a barren space on the outgoing model.

Other changes which can be easily figured out from the teaser video are a new digital instrument cluster and new lighting graphics for the taillights. The company promises “further improvements to its design, convenience, comfort and quality,” but more about the same will be out clearly once it reveals the SUV in its full glory in a few days from now.

The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport (facelift) is expected to arrive in India with a BSVI 2.4 litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine producing a maximum output of 181 PS and a peak torque of 430 Nm. An eight-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system should be standard.
