2019 Range Rover Evoque spied testing on British Roads

Land Rover is currently working on the second generation Range Rover Evoque. The SUV is scheduled to go on sale by 2019. The 2019 Range Rover Evoque has been spotted testing on British roads.

The exterior of the 2019 Range Rover Evoque is expected to borrow heavily from the Range Rover Velar.

The test mule was spotted sporting production-ready body, which seems to be heavily influenced by the Range Rover Velar. That said, the next gen Evoque will not be radically different from the current model in terms of appearance. Dimensionally, it will be quite similar to the current model. The test mule that was spotted is the 5-door version and if certain reports are to be believed, the 2019 Range Rover Evoque will not have a three-door version.

The interior of the test unit looks quite similar to the current car. However, the cabin too will get a Velar inspired makeover with the dual screen centre console setup being the highlight. Land Rover will is also looking to make the Evoque cabin more 'comfortable' and more 'luxurious'.

The 2019 Range Rover Evoque will be based on the same D8 structure are the model it will replace. The engineers will be making changes to the suspension setup in a bid to enhance ride quality, especially for the rear seat occupants. The current 2.0 L Ingenium petrol and 2.0 L Ingenium diesel engines paired with a ZF-sourced 9-speed automatic transmission will be carried over. Electric and plug-in hybrid variants of the Evoque are also on the cards.

The dual screen centre console setup from the Velar is likely to find its way into the Evoque's cabin.
