2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid detailed in a walkaround video

The 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid went on sale in the country in January 2019. The tenth generation of the globally-acclaimed sedan is underpinned by the TNGA-based GA-K platform and is priced at INR 36.95 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). A walk around video gives us a good look at the new model and its important features.

The 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid features dusk-sensing automatic LED headlamps with LED DRLs and follow-me-home function, LED fog lamps, stylish 18-inch alloy wheels, and LED rear combination lamps. The new model has a ground clearance of 160 mm and a turning radius of 5.8-metre. The ORVMs are electric-folding and come with a hydrophilic coating. The latest-gen Camry is available in seven exterior paint shades - Platinum White Pearl, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black, Burning Black, Red Mica, Phantom Brown, and Graphite Metallic.

On the inside, the 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid offers a roomy cabin that is brimming with comfort- and convenience-enhancing features. The driver's seat is 10-way adjustable and offers two-way lumbar support adjustment. The highlight of the dashboard is a JBL-sourced 9-speaker audio system that provides navigation, DVD, AM/FM, Aux-in, USB and Bluetooth support. The feature-laden cabin even offers Ventilated Rear Seats with Power Recline and Trunk Access, Rear Armrest with touch-sensitive controls for audio system, memory settings for ORVMs, driver seat and steering adjustment, electric rear sunshade, wireless smartphone charger, electric parking brake, and Rain Sensing Wipers.

The safety equipment on offer comprises 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Hold Function, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Parking Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX and Top Tether Anchor for Child Seats.

The last three generations of the Toyota Camry have sold 11,425 units in India.

The 2019 Toyota Camry Hybrid is propelled by the A25A-FXS 2.5-litre petrol engine that works in tandem with a 3NM electric motor. The gasoline-burner outputs a maximum power of 178 PS and a peak torque of 221 Nm. The electric motor produces 120 PS and 202 Nm. The combined power output is rated at 221 PS. The hybrid powertrain-equipped D2-segmenter has a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.27 km/l. It rivals the Honda Accord Hybrid, Skoda Superb, and VW Passat.
