There are not many visual changes over the outgoing models. The list of revisions on the Street Twin and Street Scrambler include a brushed aluminium headlight mask, new style for the decals and updated instrument console.

While the visuals have not been tweaked much, the mechanical specifications have been overhauled. The 900 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine continues to deliver peak torque of 80Nm, but it now comes 500 revs higher, at 3,800 rpm instead of 3,500 rpm. The power output has been bumped by 18%, and the 2019 Street Twin and Street Scrambler make 65 PS of maximum power at 7,500 rpm as against 55 PS at 5,900 rpm on the outgoing version. Lastly, the engine now redlines at 7500 rpm, which is 500 rpm higher.

Weight saving measures include a lighter crankshaft, dead shaft and balancer shaft, and a magnesium cam cover. The engine also features torque assist clutch for reduced rider fatigue.

Electronic rider aids have received an upgrade too, and the 2019 Street Twin comes with traction control and two rider modes – Road and Rain. The 2019 Street Scrambler, on the other hand, features three riding modes – Road, Rain and Off-Road (turns off traction control and ABS completely). The power output remains the same in all riding modes, although the throttle response and traction control intrusion vary. Both models come with switchable traction control while the Street Scrambler gets an additional feature of switchable ABS.

Other hardware upgrades include new 41 mm KYB forks with internal cartridge damping and Brembo four-piston callipers at the front with 310 mm disc. The setup at the rear has been carried forward from the predecessors, and the 2019 Street Twin and Street Scrambler continue to use KYB twin shock absorbers with adjustable pre-load. Stopping power at the rear comes from 255 mm disc with Nissin sourced two-piston fixed callipers.

To list the differences, the Street Twin comes with alloy wheels while the Street Scrambler gets more rugged, wire-spoke wheels. The Scrambler has a larger front wheel for enhanced off-road prowess. The off-road focused model also gets dual-purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres as standard. The Street Twin can be selected from Jet Black, Korosi Red and Ironstone, while the Street Scrambler would be available in Khaki Green/matte aluminium, Cranberry Red and Fusion White.

The instrument console on both motorcycles displays analogue speedometer, tachometer, odometer, gear position indicator, fuel gauge, distance to empty, service indicator, two trip meters, average and current fuel economy, traction control status and heated grip ready along with handlebar mounted scroll button. However, the Street Twin gets an additional option of Tyre Pressure Monitor System as a part of optional accessories. An engine immobiliser is fitted as standard on both models. Under the seat, both motorcycles get a USB charger to juice up the electronic devices on the move.

Ergonomics have been tweaked on the Street Scrambler with wide handlebars and forward set foot pegs. The revised ride position is aimed to offer better control and a comfortable riding position while standing on the foot pegs on the trails. The rider also sits taller on the Street Scrambler with a seat height of 790 mm, as against Street Twin’s 760 mm high saddle.

The new 2019 Street Triple is available with over 140 custom accessories and two inspiration kits – Urban Ride and Cafe Custom. The Street Scrambler, on the other hand, comes with over 120 accessories in addition to a new Urban Tracker inspiration kit.

Apart from the standard two-year/unlimited kilometre manufacturer warranty, Triumph Motorcycles India has introduced a two-year extended warranty program. The extended warranty has features like global coverage and transferability along with unlimited kilometres cover. The service interval stands at a commendable 16,000 km.
