The 2019 Yamaha MT-15 has been unveiled in Thailand, which is basically a naked streetfighter version of the Yamaha R15.

The new Yamaha MT-15 features a new bug-eyed LED headlight and muscular styling, inspired by the Yamaha MT-09.

The biggest highlight of the new Yamaha MT-15 is the design, which is borrowed from the bigger Yamaha MT-09. The new MT-15 features an all-new bug-eyed LED headlamp setup along with a muscular fuel tank and a lowered tail section with a single-piece seat. The bike comes with a new digital instrument cluster, which is similar to the one on the Yamaha R15.
The 2019 Yamaha MT-15 continues to feature the same 10-spoke alloy wheels and aluminium swing-arm from the previous generation. Mechanically, the new MT-15 receives an entirely new heart. Powering the Yamaha MT-15 is a Yamaha R15 V3.0-sourced all-new 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four valve engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) and a slipper clutch.
The fuel injected motor is capable of churning out 19 bhp of maximum power while developing a peak torque of 14.8 Nm. The 4-stroke engine couples with a 6-speed gearbox that sends power to the wheel via a final chain drive. The powertrain fits snugly inside the chassis, which is borrowed from the older model. As compared to the previous motor, the new engine offers better low-end and mid-range power.
The 2019 Yamaha MT-15 features 37 mm USD forks at the front and a preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Stopping power comes from a 267 mm disc at the front with radially mounted brake calliper, while the back receives a 220 mm rotor with a floating calliper. The new MT-15 features 17-inch alloy wheels at both the ends that wrap on 110-section front and 140-section rear IRC tubeless tires.

The 2019 Yamaha MT-15 uses an all-new 155 cc, VVA motor that is sourced from the Yamaha R15 V3.0.
