2020 Hyundai ix25 (2020 Hyundai Creta): Specs, Features & 45 New Images
Beijing-Hyundai launched the highly anticipated 2020 Hyundai ix25 (2020 Hyundai Creta) in China yesterday. The all-new Hyundai ix25 has been priced between CNY 1,05,800 (INR 10,62,288.68) and CNY 1,36,800 (INR 13,73,545.29).
The second-gen Hyundai ix25 features a Hyundai Palisade-inspired exterior design which looks very striking and bold. The new aggressive design has been implemented in order to attract a larger set of younger buyers. It now features a more prominent radiator grille which is flanked by vertically stacked modern-looking split LED headlamps. While the rear features a completely offbeat light design comprising vertically placed, split tail lamps. The exteriors may be too bold and aggressive, but from the inside, the cabin is equally posh, upmarket and elegant. In details, it now features a freshly designed compact steering wheel, sleek horizontal central air vents and a 10.4-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system. The new layout syncs the infotainment system and the climate control system under a single panel. Furthermore, it comes with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel which gives it a modern touch. This is the same panel which is seen in 2020 Hyundai Verna.
The 2020 Hyundai ix25 comes loaded with features like panoramic sunroof, electric parking brake with auto-hold function, a 360-degree camera system and much more. Also, it gets four driving modes, namely Smart, Sport, Eco, Comfort. These modes have been added to make the new ix25 more versatile in terms of drivability which is further complemented by its triple terrain modes namely Snow, Mud and Sand.
The 2020 Hyundai ix25 comes brimming with modern safety features such as Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Driver Attention Warning (DAW), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Adaptive Smart Cruise Control (ASCC) and High Beam Assist (HBA). All these features make it one of the most well-equipped offerings in terms of safety and security features. It measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height. When compared to the outgoing model, it is 10 mm longer, 10 mm wider and anywhere from 2-26 mm lower. Its wheelbase is 20 mm longer and stands at 2,610 mm.

As for the mechanicals, the Hyundai ix25 now uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine which replaces the 1.6-litre petrol engines. The all-new petrol engine delivers 84.4 kW (114.75 PS) of maximum power at 6,300 rpm and 143.8 Nm of peak torque at 4,500 rpm. The engine is available with the same 6-speed manual transmission, while the CVT gearbox is new. It is rated to return up to 5.3 L/100 km (18.86 km/L) of fuel economy, depending on the selected configuration.
