The Mercedes GLC has always been a stunning-looking SUV, and in the facelifted form it looks even better. It now sports new headlamps that are comparatively smaller in size when compared to the pre-facelifted vehicle and are not as strongly swept back. The revised headlamps flank the new radiator grille with more aggressively shaped louvres and diamond lattice. Coming on to the rear, the facelifted Mercedes GLC looks more rugged and shows off its off-road character more prominently from the behind. It now sports a new squarish light signature in the aggressive tail lamps, as well as the revised bumper and exhaust tips.

As soon as you step inside, the most prominent change is the use of a 10.25-inch MBUX infotainment system that responds to “Hey Mercedes” prompt inputs. Also, another big change is the touch sensitivity on the display. Other highlights include an updated steering wheel with Touch Control buttons, revised voice control system, a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster and also the standard-fit keyless-go start function.

The test mule is the GLC 220d 4MATIC powered by the 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 194 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz may offer the GLC 300 that employs the 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 258 PS and 370 Nm of torque. Both the engines will likely come mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. With the mid-cycle refresh, the mid-size SUV has gained Dynamic Body Control suspension which comes with infinitely adjustable dampers for both axles.
