Alfa Romeo Giulia spotted with production body for the first time - Spied
Will reportedly be unveiled on June 24.
CarPassion has the first spyshots of the forthcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia with a production body, on test in the streets of Italy. The publication, and other reports have stated that the Giulia will be revealed on June 24, 2015, a date which coincides with the brand's 105th anniversary.
The Giulia will be a sports-sedan, rivaling the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Jaguar XE. Like the latter, the Giulia sports a long slender bonnet, a low waistline and short overhangs. A spiritual successor to the Alfa Romeo 159, its still unclear as to what the Giulia is based on; certain reports say it is built on the Maserati Ghibli's platform.
Power for the Giulia is expected to come from petrol and diesel engines, with the most powerful units being V6 engines capable of as much as 480 hp. The diesel six-cylinder engine is expected to be the same one powering the Ghibli - a 3.0-liter unit with 271 bhp on tap.

While finer details remain sketchy, the Giulia is expected to be a rear-wheel drive sedan, with both manual and automatic transmission options. An all-wheel drive "Q4" model could also be in the offing.
Further details on the Giulia are expected in the coming days.
