Hyundai has digitally revealed the Venue at New York’s Times Square. The company will showcase the all-new entry-level SUV in the flesh on the 17th of this month.

The Hyundai Venue is the production version of the Hyundai HND-14,’Carlino' concept from Auto Expo 2016.

The Hyundai Venue features an interesting amalgamation of trendy, offbeat design that gives it a youthful look and solid, traditional proportions that lend it a proper SUV style. The front-end is clearly inspired by that of Hyundai Kona, while the profile with straight lines and conventional roofline makes it reminiscent of the Hyundai Creta. Spy shots have already shown the front and rear fascias and the interior from up close.

The Hyundai Venue will measure no more than 4,000 mm in length. The production version of the Hyundai HND-14,’Carlino' concept will come with three engine options: 100 PS 1.4L MPI four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol, 90 PS 1.4L CRDi turbocharged four-cylinder diesel and 100 PS 1.0L T-GDI turbocharged three-cylinder petrol. Transmission choices will include 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. There’s no word on the availability of an AWD system, but in India, it’s definitely going to be strictly FWD.

Hyundai will offer the Venue with features like Composite Light, two-tone alloy wheels, LED tail lights, electric sunroof, large touchscreen infotainment system with built-in navigation and six airbags. One of its main highlights will be the Blue Link suite of 33 different connected car features, 10 of which will be exclusive to our market.
